This community is part of the Formosa Gardens community; it is situated off the 192 highway. Whilst travelling along the 192 there is an ornamental double-headed dragon that marks the way to Formosa Gardens Boulevard. Like a permanent billboard to the lesser known Splendid China Theme Park. Oak Island Cove can be found behind Splendid China. There are a small group of communities set in woodland and lakes. Oak Island Cove's prestigious development is one of the closest residential communities, just 5-8 minutes drive, to Mickey Mouse and all his friends. The other attractions, Sea World (15 minutes), Universal Studios (20 minutes), Wet n' Wild (20 minutes), are all a short car journey away. All this is about a 10 minute walk away.

Along the 192 are various shops and restaurants, catering for everybody, gift shops, clothes shops, household goods stores and plenty more! There are other attractions in this area, helicopter rides, bungee jumping, crazy golf, golf courses and numerous other activities to enjoy.
