The Abbey is the smallest of a group of communities called West Haven centred amongst a wildlife/wetlands conservation area. It is a gated community on the south side of the CR54 just west of its intersection with the I4. All attractions are easily accessed and the Disney gates are just 10 minutes away. Orlando airport is about 40 minutes drive. Champions Gate Golf Complex is just three minutes drive and many other golf courses are within easy reach. There is a parade of shops and restaurants and a large supermarket at Champions Gate. The Abbey manages to have the conservation area to its north and east, and has protected orange groves to its south. A Publix supermarket at the entrance to Highlands Reserve is situated 2 miles away and a Walgreen’s pharmacy is located at the corner of CR54 and H27. West Haven; The other communities in West Haven are completely separate, and eventually, there will be a village centre on the other side of the conservation area proposed to have local stores, a community pool and tennis courts. Highway 192 is a five minute drive north, this major thoroughfare boasts every conceivable type of shop and restaurant.
